Job Description:

This MedSurg nursing contract offers an engaging opportunity working on a unit with 52 private rooms, primarily caring for post-operative orthopedic, neuro, and general surgery patients. As a night shift traveler, you will manage a patient load of approximately 6-7 patients, utilizing your skills to monitor hemodynamically stable patients, administer medications like Heparin, Lasix, and PCA opioids, and assist with vent and airway devices such as BiPAP and Cpap. The role involves collaborating with an in-house hospitalist and intensivist team, with some experience reading strips and handling intermittent ventilator management preferred. With a full patient assignment and a diverse mix of acute and post-op cases, this assignment stands out for its focus on complex patient management in a well-equipped hospital setting. Certified in BLS, NIHSS, and ideally ACLS, you'll contribute to high-quality patient outcomes while enjoying the support of a dedicated clinical team.
