Job Description:

This RN contract position in Peru, Illinois, offers a 13-week assignment working 12-hour night shifts. As a vital team member on the Medical Surgical unit, you will handle a variety of acute medical cases including pneumonia, sepsis, COPD, post-surgical care, and pediatric respiratory illnesses. The role emphasizes collaboration with PCTs, focus on nursing care tasks such as Foley care, bathing, and oral cares, and monitoring tele strips, with some oversight of high-flow and BiPAP equipment. You’ll navigate patient ratios of 1:5-6 and participate in rotating holiday schedules. This assignment is perfect for seasoned nurses with at least two years of experience, and prior travel experience is preferred. Expect a setting that values teamwork, precision, and active engagement in patient care during night hours, with opportunities to float to ICU or Ottawa Campus as needed.
