Job Description:

Join our team for a 13-week contract in Madison, Wisconsin, as a registered nurse in a fast-paced inpatient rehabilitation hospital. This role involves working 12-hour night shifts, providing care to adult patients with high acuity needs, including stroke, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions. The environment requires quick thinking and teamwork, with approximately 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratios. If you have inpatient rehab or Med Surg experience and are comfortable handling high patient volumes, this assignment offers a unique opportunity to apply your skills in a specialized, accredited facility where your contributions truly make a difference.

Job Specifics:

Location: Madison, WI
Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM to 7:00 AM)
Duration: 13 weeks (36 hours per week)
This high-acuity inpatient rehab setting demands a minimum of one year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or medical-surgical environments. Float requirements are minimal currently but possible to satellite IRF. All nurses are expected to assist with patient safety, answering call lights, and supporting C.N.As. The hospital is equipped with mobility assistive devices, vital signs monitors, and electronic health records via EPIC. Your role will contribute to the recovery of adult patients requiring intensive inpatient rehabilitative services, helping them achieve their highest potential for independence and safe discharge home.
