Job Description:

Step into a vital role in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as a registered nurse on a 13-week contract in Peoria, IL. You’ll provide specialized care for neonates born as early as 22 weeks with complex conditions such as congenital diaphragmatic hernia or persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn. This assignment offers the chance to work with a dedicated team of neonatologists, nurse practitioners, and techs, all maintaining a constant watch in a 24/7 in-house neonatology coverage setting. You'll navigate a variety of high-acuity cases, efficiently titrating drips like Fentanyl, Morphine, or Precedex, and managing advanced respiratory equipment including ventilators, CPAP, and high-flow devices. Expect to thrive on a schedule of 12-hour night shifts, with self-scheduling options and the flexibility to float to related units when needed.
