Job Description

Join a 13-week travel nursing contract in Bismarck, North Dakota, caring for observation and short-stay patients in a fast-moving setting. This role focuses on pre- and post-operative care, including patients recovering from hysterectomies, knee scopes, adult tonsillectomies, appendectomies, and hernia procedures. You will also care for patients with chest pain, abdominal pain, and infusion needs such as blood products or twice-daily antibiotics.

The assignment is well suited to an organized RN who can manage frequent admissions and discharges while performing IV starts, dressing changes, Foley care, medication administration, and other routine nursing duties. Documentation is completed in EPIC, with Acu-dose used for narcotic dispensing and medication scanning required. You will not work alone and may float to other medical-surgical areas. Expect 2–3 shifts with a preceptor plus classroom training for the charting system.
