Job Description:

This telemetrist role involves more than just reading strips — it’s about mastering the rhythm of heartbeats and ensuring every patient’s electrical signals are in harmony. You’ll start by self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance, with a quick test in your first week to ensure you’re ready to hit the ground running on our med/surg and telemetry units. Your day-to-day tasks include delivering precise assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations as part of a collaborative healthcare team. Expect to work with diverse patient populations, including geriatric, adult, and medical/surgical cases, all while maintaining high standards of professionalism and independence. The position requires ACLS certification and Cerner EMR experience. Though not on a regular call schedule, there may be periods of low census where you could be called in, with a quick response time of one hour. This role offers a unique opportunity to hone your telemetry skills in a supportive setting while enjoying some independence in your work environment.
