Job Description:

Join a travel Registered Nurse (RN) PCU team in Olathe, Kansas, working 12-hour nights with a schedule of 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three shifts per week for a 13-week contract. This assignment is designed for nurses who thrive in high-acuity critical thinking moments—bringing experience from Critical Care/ICU or the Emergency Department and confidently handling independent workflows without relying on a vascular access team.

You’ll be expected to perform skills including BiPAP management, chest tube care, PICC line experience, and drawing your own labs. The role also includes calling your own consults and conducting your own codes, with additional strength desired for open-heart day 2 or day 3 experience, including pacer wire familiarity. You will float to ICU and inpatient units including Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and ED (with prior experience required). Every other weekend is required, with no on-call expectations.

Orientation includes an initial in-person onboarding experience at the KUKC campus, followed by Olathe orientation and Director of Nursing training, and virtual Epic training on day 5.
