Job Description:

Join a fast-paced 22-bed observation unit on Unit 2C, specializing in medical observation with a focus on titratable drips such as Heparin. This role offers the chance to work in a centralized tele monitored environment, where RNs frequently read strips and manage high patient turnover with up to 16 discharges per day. You will be responsible for handling patient admissions, discharges, and ongoing assessments, often working independently in a lively setting. The unit operates with a 1:5 or 1:6 staff-to-patient ratio, emphasizing efficiency and precision. Certifications in BLS are required, while ACLS is highly recommended. Expect to occasionally take charge nurse or house supervisor roles, with flexible floating to medical-surgical units. The shift is 12-hour days, providing a great balance of work and rest over the 17-week assignment.
