Job Description:

This step down registered nurse position offers an engaging assignment in a busy acute care setting. As a member of the immediate care unit, you'll monitor telemetry, start IV lines, and respond to varying levels of patient acuity, including both progressive care and telemetry patients. The schedule features 12-hour night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., primarily weekdays with some weekends, providing a dynamic environment that keeps you on your toes. Your role will involve flexible coverage ratios, with a typical 1:4 patient load that can shift to 1:5 during emergencies. The unit’s diverse patient mix ensures you'll experience a range of challenges, making this a rewarding opportunity for experienced step-down nurses ready to make an impact during a 13-week contract.
