Job Description:

This registered nurse position is based in a fast-paced medical surgical and telemetry unit, where you'll be the first to float to various assigned floors within the hospital. Expect to work 12-hour night shifts, caring for a diverse patient population including orthopedic, pulmonary, cardiac, and behavioral health cases. The role requires prior experience in a large, urban hospital setting, with a focus on managing IV drips, utilizing EPIC for charting, and handling complex medical conditions. You'll provide care for patients recovering from surgeries like total knee and hip replacements, as well as those with sepsis, GI, endocrine, renal, and psychiatric illnesses. The unit features a split floor setup, including a secured behavioral health area that may involve dealing with behavioral challenges safely.
