Job Description:

Join a rewarding travel assignment in Wausau, Wisconsin, where you'll be working within a fast-paced 44-bed cardiac step-down unit. This role is ideal for experienced RN professionals specializing in cardiac care, especially those comfortable managing patients post-op CABG, valve procedures, arrhythmias, CHF, and various other cardiac conditions. Your days will be filled with critical assessments, medication administration—including Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips—and monitoring patients with complex cardiac needs. The hectic rhythm of this unit requires resilience and independence, but you'll have the opportunity to float across inpatient units as needed and be part of a dedicated team managing high patient turnover with a typical ratio of 1:4. Expect to work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and holiday commitments. This assignment offers excellent pay, guaranteed weekly hours, and the chance to hone your skills in a dynamic cardiac environment.

Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed, OT after 48 hours, with up to 36 hours of low census low unbillable hours to be scheduled as on-call. During this, travelers can be called back and paid accordingly.
