Job Description:

This dialysis RN contract offers the chance to work mainly at the bedside, administering dialysis to adult patients with both acute and chronic conditions. You'll be responsible for cannulation and de-cannulation of fistulas and catheters, testing and maintaining dialysis machines, and disinfecting equipment between sessions. The setting features a 4-station dialysis suite as well as bedside dialysis across various hospital units like the ER, ICU, and CCU. Independence is key, as you'll often work without direct supervision, primarily managing approximately 9-12 patients daily during 12-hour shifts. This assignment is perfect for seasoned dialysis nurses with at least one year of experience, preferably with inpatient ICU or PCU backgrounds, and familiarity with both acute and chronic dialysis procedures. The main manager, ANCC-certified, is available on each shift as a resource, ensuring support and guidance throughout your assignment. Don't forget to bring your royal blue scrubs for your shifts around West Bronx and contribute your expertise in this vital role.
