Job Description:

Join a busy surgical support team as a CVOR Certified Surgical Assistant in Bismarck, ND. This role offers the opportunity to assist with a variety of cardiovascular procedures such as CABG, angiograms, endarterectomies, valve replacements, and AAA repairs. In addition, you'll support general surgeries including orthopedics, OB/GYN, urology, ENT, and plastics, working across both a main hospital surgery center and an outpatient facility just across the street. Your expertise will be vital in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities ranging from sterile setup to assisting surgeons during complex procedures. The position combines routine surgical assistance with scheduled call shifts, including weeknights and weekends, offering a well-rounded experience in surgical support. The role promises a collaborative atmosphere with seasoned surgeons and first assists, using advanced equipment like computerized charting systems, Covidien cauteries, and Stryker laparoscopic towers. If you have at least two years of cardiovascular and general surgical experience, relevant certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and ARRT, and the flexibility to float across units, this assignment is an excellent fit.
