Job Description:

This dialysis nursing role takes place in a specialized setting where you'll manage both acute hemodialysis treatments and peritoneal dialysis patients. The position involves working 12-hour day shifts within a vibrant unit that treats patients with ESRD and acute renal failure. As part of your duties, you'll perform AVF/AVG cannulation, CVC access, and manage dialysis complications. You’ll also be involved in initiating and terminating peritoneal dialysis, all while ensuring patient safety during high-tech treatments using Baxter Home Choice machines. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to work closely with ICU patients requiring 1:1 treatments and monitor them via bedside and central telemetry, with support from experienced techs and specialized equipment like vents and BiPAP machines. You'll be called upon to precept, float between facilities as needed, and uphold a high standard of dialysis nursing expertise in a dynamic environment that values your technical skills and professionalism.
