Job Description:

Join a busy hospital unit in Massena, NY, as a registered nurse specializing in med-surg and tele. This 13-week contract offers 12-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM, with weekend coverage every other week. You'll be managing patients with conditions like COPD, pneumonia, abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain rule-outs, all while interpreting dysrhythmias and utilizing rapid response and code teams. Expect to work in an environment that challenges your skills with blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, and non-invasive airway management including BiPAP/CPAP. The unit maintains patient ratios of 1:6 during the day, ensuring a steady yet manageable workflow. The hospital requires experience in Epic documentation, and orientation will involve working with adult patients utilizing a variety of therapeutic interventions.
