Job Description:

This contract positions you in the CVICU at a prominent facility in Omaha, Nebraska, specializing in the care and recovery of complex cardiac and thoracic surgery patients. Your role will involve managing patients stabilized with advanced life support devices such as Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO, and supporting high-acuity cases from cath labs, structural heart programs, and EP labs. Expect to titrate critical drips including vasopressors, paralytics, and sedatives, while working alongside an experienced team of hospitalist and intensivist physicians. The shift lasts 12 hours overnight, providing a focused window to apply your skills in a challenging yet rewarding environment. This assignment offers a chance to deepen your expertise in advanced cardiac patient care while experiencing a city with a mix of history and lively culture, all set against the backdrop of typically pleasant weather around this time of year.
