Job Description:

This stepdown and med-surg unit assignment in Morgantown offers a chance to work on a 29-bed unit that is currently under construction, with all beds scheduled to be fully equipped and operational in the first quarter of 2026. As a registered nurse, you'll manage a diverse patient caseload, handling both medical diagnoses and post-operative cases, with ratios of 3:1 for step-down and 6:1 for floor patients. Your skill in titrating drips such as Heparin, insulin, and anti-hypertensives, along with Epic electronic health record experience, will be vital in this fast-paced setting. You may also provide support during unit start-up, including assisting with opening procedures and adjusting to new workflows. This role is ideal for nurses who are adaptable, comfortable with high-tech equipment like CPAP, BiPAP, and vents, and who can quickly integrate into a team managing patients across different acuity levels. Working 12-hour daytime shifts over 13 weeks, you'll be part of a team that values flexibility and professionalism while enjoying the opportunity to contribute to a newly opened unit.
