Job Description:

Join a dedicated occupational therapy team providing care within inpatient and swing bed settings. This role involves assessing and treating patients with orthopedic, neurological, and medical conditions, including post-stroke recovery, joint replacements, and occasional brain injuries, in a hospital environment. You'll work with around 8 to 10 patients daily, performing evaluations and therapy sessions aligned with established treatment plans. The position offers a blend of routine and dynamic work as you float between acute inpatient units and, when census is low, to nearby facilities like Magic Valley Medical Center. Expect to be immersed in EPIC electronic medical records, and collaborate closely with a nurse manager on each shift. This assignment provides a well-paced schedule of five 8-hour shifts, primarily from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with potential holiday coverage. Respiratory attire includes scrubs, with color options provided. Prior inpatient or rehab experience of at least one year is required, and first-time travelers are welcome. Be prepared for a short orientation period and a radius rule to work outside a 50-mile radius of the facility’s location in Jerome, Idaho—making this a suitable and engaging assignment for energetic and adaptable OT professionals.
