Job Description:

Join a prestigious teaching hospital in Baltimore for a 13-week contract working in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Johns Hopkins. This role involves caring for high-acuity adult patients in a Level Care setting, primarily focusing on medical cardiac cases with a variety of advanced monitoring, including ventilator management, tracheostomies, and titratable drips like nitroglycerin, insulin, and heparin. The shift is a 12-hour night schedule, offering quiet nights with the opportunity to hone your skills in a fast-paced environment. You'll collaborate with a team that manages a complex patient population, including patients on provider-managed pressors and inotropes, with patient ratios from 1:3 to 1:5 depending on acuity and unit. This assignment is ideal for a registered nurse experienced in IMC and critical care, who thrives in high-pressure situations and enjoys a challenging yet rewarding practice experience.
