Job Description:

This critical care assignment places you in a mixed acuity medical ICU and progressive care unit where you'll be caring for ventilated patients, managing IV drips such as vasopressors and sedatives, and assisting with intubations and line placements. You'll handle a variety of complex conditions including sepsis, respiratory failure, renal failure, myocardial infarctions, pulmonary embolism, and pneumonia. The environment combines ICU and step-down patients, offering a unique chance to apply your critical thinking skills while experiencing both levels of care. Expect to utilize equipment like Phillips heart monitors, Epic EMR, Pyxis, EKG machines, and dopplers. This role is perfect for a seasoned ICU nurse seeking a dynamic setting that blends high acuity with progressive illness management, all while engaging in a team-oriented environment with consistent oversight.
