Job Description:

Join us for a travel healthcare contract as a Med Surg RN in Lynchburg, VA, working 12-hour night shifts. During this assignment, you'll be immersed in a busy General Medicine unit with a patient load of approximately six per nurse. You'll handle a diverse mix of cases, including GI bleeds, COPD, CHF, diabetes complications, ESRD, dementia, TIA/stroke, A-Fib, hypertension, sepsis, and vascular issues. The role involves some charge responsibilities, with proper training and pay differentials, and offers opportunities to work alongside ancillary support like lab techs, EKG techs, and CNAs. This position provides the chance to gain direct experience in a teaching hospital environment, often interacting with students and new hires. You'll need at least two years of recent travel experience for Centra Health positions, along with a skills checklist, Nursys/license copy, and a detailed work history. Expect to contribute to a supportive team culture while delivering patient-centric care in a fast-paced setting. Please note that all travelers may float between campuses and that the hospital accepts approved declinations for Covid and Flu vaccines.
