Job Description:

This critical care assignment puts you in a Medical ICU in Fort Wayne, where you'll be handling a blend of ICU and progressive care patients. Your main duties include caring for ventilated patients, managing IV drips such as vasopressors and sedatives, assisting with intubations, and line placements. You'll monitor critically ill patients with conditions like sepsis, respiratory and renal failures, myocardial infarctions, pulmonary embolism, and pneumonia. Expect to work closely with advanced equipment like Phillips heart monitors, EKG machines, and Epic EMR. This role emphasizes flexibility and critical thinking, offering a chance to work with both ICU and progressive patients, often with more moderate acuity than typical ICU settings. Caring for diverse patient needs while floating across units keeps the work engaging and dynamic.
