Job Description:

Join our fast-paced emergency department team on a 13-week travel contract in Freeport, Illinois, where you'll be immersed in providing frontline emergency care in a community hospital setting. This role involves managing a high volume of patients—typically 60-80 in a 24-hour period—on 12-hour day shifts, with a focus on streamlining patient flow and collaborating closely with physicians, mid-level providers, and support staff. You'll perform essential duties such as assessing patients, assisting with moderate sedation and lumbar punctures, drawing blood with phleb experience, and supporting the overall efficiency of the ED. The environment offers diverse cases—from minor injuries to critical emergencies—requiring adaptability and quick thinking. Experience in moderate sedation, trauma, and critical care drips will be valuable, as will the ability to handle a wide spectrum of patient acuity.
