Job Description:

This 13-week travel assignment is in a critical access hospital where teamwork and versatility are key. As a RN on the Medsurg unit, you will handle a variety of patient diagnoses including falls, CHF, bowel obstructions, A-fib, and swingbed cases. Your typical shifts are 12-hour nights, and you'll be expected to confidently perform assessments, manage infusion pumps, administer medications, and read respiratory monitors. The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, supported by CNAs and PCTs who assist with vitals, I&Os, and ADLs. Experience with respiratory equipment like ventilators, Cpap, BiPAP, and high-flow systems is essential, and titrating drips such as insulin, heparin, and amiodarone is required. The environment is fast-paced but friendly, emphasizing teamwork, flexibility, and a shared commitment to patient well-being. If you're comfortable working independently, reading your own telemetry strips, and adapting to a collaborative setting, this is a great opportunity to expand your skills in a close-knit hospital setting.
