Job Description:

Join a rewarding travel assignment in Louisville, Kentucky, where you'll work as part of a specialized team on a 23-bed inpatient unit serving adolescents aged 14 to 18. This role involves engaging with patients experiencing a range of behavioral health challenges, including SI/suicidal attempts, self-injurious behaviors, ODD, bipolar disorder, and aggression. You'll be responsible for providing essential support alongside a team of mental health technicians, case managers, and security staff, focusing on maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. The shift is 12 hours, and you'll have the opportunity to quickly get familiar with the unit through a comprehensive orientation. This assignment uniquely combines clinical skills with teamwork in a setting that values crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques—skills you will further hone here. Expect to use advanced technology such as Cerner EMR and Omnicell medication dispensing, along with specialized restraint equipment.
