Job Description:

This travel assignment places you in a 28-bed step-down unit within a renowned teaching hospital located in Concord, North Carolina. The role involves managing a variety of post-surgical patients, with a focus on orthopedic, spine, trauma, and vascular surgeries, as well as medical overflow cases. Expect to perform assessments, wound care—including wound vac management—incision care, chest tube management, NG tube insertions, and patient mobility support. Supportive team members like CNAs, RTs, and hospitalists are readily available to assist, and you'll contribute to a collaborative environment that values your expertise. Your skills will be key in providing safe, efficient care in a setting that emphasizes teamwork and continuous learning. The shift is 12 hours during the day, offering an engaging and rewarding experience over a 13-week contract.
