Job Description:

Join the team at Aspirus Wausau Hospital as an experienced Anesthesia RN for a 13-week travel contract focused on supporting our cardiothoracic surgical team. In this role, you'll be essential in assisting anesthesia providers across a variety of surgical specialties, including complex heart procedures. Expect to execute a range of tasks such as assisting with intubations, managing fiber optic scopes during intubation, maintaining sterile techniques with central lines, and supporting the placement of arterial lines, lumbar drains, Swan Ganz catheters, and IVs. You'll also set up medication pumps, operate Belmont and Cell Saver equipment, and support our anesthesia team during elective, trauma, and emergency surgeries. This position offers the opportunity to work in a busy OR environment with 21 operating rooms, a mix of day shifts, and a focus on cardiothoracic cases, providing both challenge and reward along the way. Due to the urgency of response, a vehicle is required, and on-call duties are part of the schedule, including one night per week, one weekend per month, and additional call on occasion. This role is perfect for a resilient, detail-oriented OR nurse with at least three years of anesthesia experience, prior travel experience, and current WI RN licensure. Expect to spend part of your time supporting downtime tasks, all while honing your skills in a supportive setting that values flexibility and strong work ethic.

Duration: 13 weeks, guaranteed 40 hours per week, approximately 40 hours weekly
