Job Description:
This pediatrics RN position offers the chance to care for patients ranging from infants to teenagers in a hospital setting. You'll be responsible for administering chemo, IV starts, and lab draws, with the possibility of floating to PICU and NICU units. The role features night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a self-scheduling system that gives you flexibility within the 13-week assignment. The unit aims for a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:5 or 6, providing a balanced workload. The hospital emphasizes quick orientation, requiring 24 hours of unit and hospital training during the first week, and the assignment calls for experienced pediatric nurses who are comfortable with hematology/oncology cases, including chemo certification. Please note that RTO is not permitted after booking, and any call-offs may result in cancelation or DNR status. This role is ideal for a dedicated RN who enjoys working with children and managing a variety of complex cases in a fast-paced environment.
