Job Description:

This ICU nursing contract offers an opportunity to work with complex medical, surgical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma patients in a mixed-unit setting with beds dedicated to MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU. The role involves managing high-acuity cases such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, post-cardiac procedures, and trauma, with patient ratios typically between 1:1 and 1:3, adjustable based on acuity. You'll be responsible for ventilator management, IV medications including vasopressors and paralytics, hemodynamic lines, proning, and telemetry monitoring. Epic experience is required, and familiarity with Impella, IABP, and CRRT is highly preferred. Expect to work 12-hour day shifts over a 13-week assignment, with some weekend rotations. The environment demands critical thinking, teamwork, and comfort working in a fast-paced intensive care setting. This assignment is unique for its high-acuity caseload and the opportunity to demonstrate advanced critical care skills, including float capabilities to the ED and ICU units.
