Job Description:

Join a psychiatric travel team in Kansas City, Missouri, supporting a variety of adult and adolescent units within an active behavioral health setting. This contract is built around 12-hour night shifts across all days of the week, with weekends included. You’ll rotate support across ADOL, Serenity, ITU, SRAD, and VINE as staffing needs shift, using Meditech documentation and following established unit workflows.

To be successful here, you’ll bring BLS and an Active Blue Card CPI to respond confidently in high-stakes moments. In this role, your day-to-day work includes monitoring for physical and psychological changes, contributing to individualized care planning, supporting medication management and observation for side effects, and using therapeutic communication to help patients feel heard. You’ll also be responsible for crisis intervention and de-escalation when situations arise, including appropriate medication management when needed.
