Job Description:

This assignment offers the chance to work in a large hospital setting with a focus on General Medical Surgical nursing. You will be responsible for patient assessments, care planning, and managing a variety of medical conditions such as COPD, Diabetes, CHF, infections, neurological issues like stroke and traumatic brain injuries, and mental health disorders. You’ll use equipment like IV pumps, wound vacs, telemetry monitors, and manage procedures including colonoscopies, thoracentesis, and minor surgeries. The role involves 12-hour night shifts, floating within medical units to meet staffing needs, and supporting a team dedicated to diverse patient populations. The position involves completing approximately 36 hours per week over a 13-week contract, including 8 hours of non-billable orientation. You’ll experience a busy and fulfilling environment that keeps your skills sharp and your job engaging.
