Job Description:

Join a dedicated team on West Virginia University’s Unit 7 West, where you’ll be working in a stepdown and floor setting with a total of 32 beds. This contract role involves providing specialized care for patients with conditions such as chest pain, COPD, AMS, pneumonia, UTI, abdominal pain, and those in hospice transition. The shift is 12-hour nights, offering a unique opportunity to experience the quieter overnight rhythms of hospital life while supporting patient recovery and stability. You’ll read telemetry strips, titrate drips in the stepdown area, and collaborate closely with charge nurses and house supervisors. Expect to be flexible, assisting across different units as needed, with an emphasis on comprehensive acute care delivery.
