Job Description:

Join a vibrant pediatric facility in Tacoma, Washington, as a registered nurse specializing in the NICU. In this contract role, you'll provide advanced care for the tiniest patients, including those born as early as 22 weeks gestation, and help manage complex respiratory support systems like ventilators, NG/OG tubes, and PICC lines. Your day will involve tending to high-risk deliveries, surgical patients, and addressing diagnoses such as RDS and HIE. With a friendly approach and a good attitude, you'll ensure that these fragile patients receive meticulous care as they grow and prepare for discharge. The NICU operates within a Level II/IV hospital setting with private rooms, offering a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated, specialized team. Expect to work 12-hour day shifts, with a chance to float to the ER as needed—though rarely—to act as a sitter. This 13-week assignment provides a balanced schedule with block scheduling possibilities, giving you time to explore the area's many attractions.
