Job Description:

This stepdown cardiac registered nurse position offers an engaging 13-week contract focused on caring for patients with conditions like heart failure, chest pain, NSTEMI, post-procedure recovery, COPD exacerbation, and substance withdrawal. Working 12-hour days, you'll be the key caregiver managing IV drips such as heparin, nitroglycerin, amiodarone, and insulin, while ensuring smooth patient flow and safety. The role involves floating between units based on patient census and team needs, providing a variety of clinical experiences in a supportive setting. Applicants must demonstrate experience in 1:5 patient ratios within stepdown or progressive care units, with EPIC system proficiency, and be prepared to interpret EKG strips. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a specialized care team while gaining valuable acute care experience in a fast-paced environment.
