Job Description:

Join a prestigious cardiovascular ICU team in Peoria, Illinois, for a 13-week travel assignment. This role is perfect for experienced CVICU nurses ready to take on high-acuity post-operative cardiac patients, including CABG, valve surgeries, VAD, transplant, and other complex cardiovascular cases. You will work 12-hour night shifts, providing advanced patient care with medication titrations, ventilator management, and continuous hemodynamic monitoring. Your expertise in interpreting EKG strips, managing multiple drips, and responding swiftly to emergencies will be essential in this fast-paced environment. The unit boasts a 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-patient ratio based on acuity, and you'll collaborate with a dedicated team of respiratory therapists, PCTs, and intensivists to deliver superior care. This assignment offers an engaging mix of technical skill application and critical thinking, making each shift both challenging and rewarding.
