Job Description:

Join our team as a Registered Nurse on a 13-week contract working in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana. You'll be staffing a 24-25 bed unit, providing specialized care for cardiac and medical stepdown patients. This role involves managing patients with conditions such as post-CABG, lung surgery, CVA, sepsis, respiratory failure, and more. The shift is a 12-hour night rotation, offering a chance to experience the quiet of night shifts while providing critical patient monitoring, titrating cardiac drips, and handling complex medical devices. This assignment is perfect for nurses with at least 2 years of PCU experience, ready to hit the ground running in a fast-paced hospital environment that values skill and independence without patient care responsibilities, focusing instead on patient stabilization and continuous monitoring.
