Job Description:

Step into a travel healthcare contract on a 24-bed step-down unit in Quincy, Illinois, where patients are commonly managed for dysrhythmias and cardiopulmonary conditions, with cases that may include sepsis and higher acuity needs such as high-flow O2. Your work will center on supporting complex care using IV medication drips, including dopamine, levophed, cardizem, heparin, precedex, nitro, amio, dobutamine, and nicardipine. Expect steady throughput with a rhythm that matches a busy step-down setting.

You’ll have the benefit of close unit support from an educator who works alongside staff, helping you stay confident as you partner with the team to keep care moving efficiently. Shifts are 12-hour days, and scheduling may include working up to every other weekend—ideal for travelers who like a structured routine and a purposeful pace. And yes, it’s a role where you’ll stay busy—your day won’t drift into “what do I do next?” mode.
