Job Description:

Step into a travel contract working in an OR/CVOR setting at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY. This role is for a CVOR Surgical Tech who will scrub independently for open heart cases, supporting a team running a steady volume of cardiac procedures (about 23 cardiac cases per week). You’ll be part of a cardiac OR workflow that centers on CABG and valve replacement/repair cases, with a dedicated CVOR room and collaboration alongside cardiac surgeons and perfusionists.

In addition to CVOR duties, you must be well-rounded and able to assist other service lines due to lower cardiac volume. Expect floating support based on daily case needs across General OR and additional specialties.

Required experience includes independent scrubbing for open heart cases and assisting with vein harvesting, with endoscopic experience preferred and open techniques also expected. Strong familiarity with standard CVOR equipment is required, including the heart-lung (bypass) machine support environment and cell saver, plus adaptability with cardiac instrumentation and sterile setup.

Because CV-only experience is not sufficient, candidates should have experience also in Vascular (VASC), General Surgery, and/or Plastics.
