Job Description:

Step into a 12-hour day Travel RN role in the OR at a busy acute care surgical program in Wichita, Kansas. You’ll work in an operating room setting supporting procedures across orthopedics, GYN, urology, cardiothoracic, vascular, plastics, spine, neuro, and trauma—meaning your days stay hands-on, fast-paced, and varied. This assignment runs 7A–7P, with an on-call schedule of 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month, including a 30-minute response time.

The team uses Meditech/CPN and operates with specialty equipment and technology including TAVR, MAKO, and DaVinci—ideal for a traveler who wants to sharpen their skills with modern surgical tools. To be considered, you must have a minimum of 1 year of current acute care OR RN hospital experience, plus BLS & ACLS. DaVinci experience and prior Meditech experience are preferred, and ortho, neurology, and vascular experience is highly valued.

Weather:

Expect warm, comfortable days with a mix of sunshine and occasional breezy afternoons. Evenings tend to cool down, so it’s a good idea to plan for changing temperatures.
