Job Description:

Join a travel healthcare contract in Ithaca, New York, supporting a busy Pre-Op and PACU setting with an experienced RN who can thrive in a fast-paced, procedure-focused workflow. This assignment combines 8-hour day shifts with on-call coverage, so you’ll be an integral part of the team’s ability to respond promptly when call needs arise.

You’ll help coordinate readiness and recovery flow within the preoperative/post-anesthesia area, taking ownership of your role during scheduled shifts and stepping in during the on-call windows that help keep services running smoothly. The call schedule is structured around weeknight calls and a dedicated weekend call that occurs within an 8-week period, with timing defined to align with coverage needs.

A typical call pattern includes roughly 3–4 weeknight calls plus one 24-hour weekend call during the 8-week period. Weeknight call hours are 9:00 PM–7:00 AM, and weekend call hours are 7:00 AM–7:00 AM. Shift times rotate across 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, 8:00 AM–8:00 PM, and 9:00 AM–9:00 PM.
