Job Description:

Join a travel Respiratory Therapist role supporting a busy pediatric critical care setting at Children’s Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. This contract runs for 13 weeks with guaranteed 36 hours per week, working 12-hour nights (1830–0700) with an every-other-weekend rotation and occasional holiday scheduling if needed.

In this position, you’ll primarily cover PICU and Level IV NICU needs, with the possibility of floating to general med/surg acute care units and EDTC based on staffing and census. The work is focused on managing ventilated respiratory care patients and performing the hands-on respiratory tasks required in critical pediatric care settings—ventilator support, airway support, suctioning, treatments, intubations, and extubations.

You’ll also be expected to be comfortable across a wide range of respiratory equipment and modes, including Servo-i/Servo-u, LTVs, Astral and Trilogy, oscillators, CPAP, BiPAP, RAM cannula, NAVA ventilation, PEP, Trach management, and INO. If you’re a peds-focused RRT (not a pediatric nurse or allied/tech role), this assignment is built for professionals who want to bring strong specialty experience to a high-acuity pediatric environment—without the guesswork on your schedule.
