Job Description:

Join a fast-paced post-surgical environment in Wausau, Wisconsin, working as a travel RN on a 12-hour nights schedule. This role supports a post-recovery unit that serves post-PACU adult and geriatric patients, providing care along a continuum for surgical cases. You’ll work within a busy inpatient unit that regularly welcomes multiple admissions each day and maintains consistently high occupancy, balancing acuity-driven priorities with efficient teamwork.

Your shift structure will run 7p–7a nights, with every other weekend and holiday coverage. While the assignment is eligible for 36 hours per week, there is potential for low census hours to be utilized in hour-based increments (typically 4-hour blocks), so you may be asked to work partial shifts as needed. Charting is completed in Epic, with medication scanning via Rovers and support from Alaris pumps.

To thrive here, you’ll bring 2+ years of Med Surg experience with recent hospital experience and Level II trauma experience. Epic experience is required, and prior travel experience is required. This contract is your chance to settle into a unit where nights move quickly—no sleepy downtime, just steady momentum. (Yes, it’s serious work, but the pace keeps it interesting.)
