Job Description:

Join a Level II NICU embedded within Women’s Services at a hospital in Nampa, Idaho. This travel contract is for an experienced NICU RN who will care for “feeders and growers” (typically 32 weeks and greater), with a steady mix of respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, and occasional NAS scoring. You’ll work in private NICU suites where each of the 8 beds has its own space, alongside a Neonatal NP on-site 24/7 and a structured support model that includes a charge nurse over the department.

Your responsibilities include attending scheduled, urgent, and emergent C-sections as part of the NICU team—being ready to stabilize newborns and complete required assessments (including the “eyes & thighs” evaluation and a 2-hour assessment). RT support is available with NICU CPAP only, with transfers out handled to Level III.

Scheduling is 7-7 (12 hour nights). Expect a collaborative workflow with resource and charge coverage across LDRP and NICU, plus possible float/sitter assignments within St. Luke’s Treasure Valley sites in the NICU.
