Job Description:

Join a travel RN role supporting complex cardiovascular surgical services in Falls Church, Virginia. This contract is night shift, where you will primarily work as the scrub nurse with a strong focus on both scrub and circulate duties as assigned. Cases span complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures, including coronary artery bypass (primary and redo), aortic aneurysms, AVR/MVR (primary and redo), TAVR, ECMO, and VADs (adult; pediatrics is a plus). You’ll be part of a team environment that also supports numerous ongoing research protocols.

To thrive here, you should bring 3 to 5 years of recent scrub and circulating experience in complex cardiovascular cases, along with the ability to multitask and apply critical thinking throughout procedures. BLS is required (AHA), and CNOR is preferred. Call is required, and overtime may be necessary. Plan for the required summer and winter holiday coverage per department needs, and note that any time off requested must be added to the end of the contract to complete a full 13 working weeks.

Expect a mix of warm and mild days, with cooler evenings and occasional humidity. Rain showers can occur, so layers are helpful for comfort between indoor and outdoor time.
