Job Description:

Join a Trauma Level II Emergency Department team as a travel RN for a fast-paced contract in Wausau, Wisconsin. In this role, you’ll work 12-hour nights in variable shift blocks, with the majority of shifts running 5:00 PM–5:00 AM window ranges (including commonly scheduled 0500–1700, 0900–2100, 1000–2200, and 1100–2300 patterns), plus occasional flex coverage from 2:00 PM–2:00 AM and 5:00 PM–5:00 AM. Expect a busy, high-acuity mix spanning stroke, cardiac, neuro, respiratory, pediatrics, and geriatrics, using Epic for charting and Pyxis for medication management.

You may also be asked to float to nearby sites including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley based on staffing needs. Weekend and holiday coverage runs every other weekend and every other holiday. On a call basis, there’s a structured requirement of 12 hours within a 6-week period, with a 30-minute response time and a 2-hour call-back minimum. This assignment is ideal for RNs who are resilient, comfortable managing change independently, and ready to jump into a team that moves fast—think “eyes on the clock, hands on the work,” every shift.
