Job Description:

Join a short-stay/intermediate clinical interview services team in Wausau, Wisconsin, on a 12-hour nights schedule. This travel assignment runs for 13 weeks with guaranteed 36 hours per week. You’ll float to all inpatient units as needed, commonly supporting IMC and CTU—so your day-to-day includes adapting quickly to different unit workflows while staying consistent with shift expectations. The unit typically experiences low census at times, and you may be asked to work only 4 or 8 hours of a 12-hour shift; this is handled through low-census unbillable hours (not on-call). Weekends and holidays are shared on a rotating schedule (every other weekend and every other holiday), with primary coverage from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

What you bring matters: at least 3 years of relevant experience, strong ability to read and interpret strips, and hands-on experience with admission/discharge flow where stays average up to 48 hours. The role may involve drips such as Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, and Heparin, and common conditions include anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, and pre/post-op urology and GI cases. Charting is in EPIC. WI RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC) are required, with NIHSS highly preferred. You’ll also need to pass an EKG exam during compliance.
