Job Description:

Join a travel Registered Nurse role supporting a PCU/Telemetry unit at a busy inpatient facility in Rapid City, South Dakota. This assignment is built around 12-hour day shifts over a 13-week contract, with a clear focus on cardiac-focused monitoring and critical-thinking bedside execution for adult patients with diagnoses ranging from CHF and respiratory failure to sepsis, GI bleed, and arrhythmias.

You’ll work with a unit care model that includes coordinated team nursing, supported by charge coverage and 24/7 resources including centralized tele monitoring and RT presence. PCU RN responsibilities may include cardiac/vasoactive drip titration (training considered for certain drips if needed), cardiac rhythm interpretation, insulin drip management (including DKA and non-DKA), blood product administration, and drain/tube and catheter management. If you’re a Tele RN, you’ll focus on telemetry rhythm interpretation and related medication management such as heparin, insulin (non-DKA), and select CIWA-related workflow support—while maintaining consistent documentation in Epic (preferred).

Expect a role that blends technical competence with steady teamwork: you’ll partner alongside LPN/Team Nursing as staffing cohorts coordinate patient loads, with occasional task swapping based on scope. Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year of PCU/Telemetry RN experience (and stronger consideration for those with 1.5+ years), plus BLS and ACLS for RN duties.

Expect cool to mild temperatures with dry conditions, plenty of sunshine, and occasional breezy afternoons. Nights can feel noticeably colder, especially in open areas.
