Job Description:

Join a travel Registered Nurse (RN) team supporting CVOR services in Urbana, Illinois. In this role, you’ll help prepare the OR suite by organizing supplies, equipment, medications, and procedure needs, then assist in the patient flow from pre-procedure staging through safe transfer to the OR table. You’ll perform required patient identification checks, support safety timeouts at key points (upon entry, prior to incision, and prior to exiting), and use positional aides and established guidelines to prepare patients for procedures.

During cases, you’ll support the surgical team by responding to requests throughout the procedure—helping coordinate additional supplies, medications, specimens/cultures, blood needs, dressings, and other time-sensitive items—while staying aligned with unit standards and documentation expectations. After procedures, you’ll transport patients to PACU or the designated unit and provide a complete handoff to the receiving RN. On-call coverage follows a rotation schedule, adding variety to your week while keeping you an essential part of the CVOR workflow.

Location: Urbana, IL (61801)

Shift: 10 hour days (7:00AM–5:00PM), day off TBD; on-call rotation

Duration: 13 weeks
