Job Description:

Join a post-surgical care team in Wausau, Wisconsin, supporting adult and geriatric patients across the surgical continuum. This travel contract is for a registered nurse with Med/Surg experience and a strong background in Trauma Level II settings. You’ll work 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a), partnering with a fast-paced unit that typically sees steady daily admissions and high occupancy.

What makes this assignment unique is the mix of standard inpatient workflow and low census flexibility: you may be offered low census “unbillable” hours eligible up to 36 hours per week, which can be adjusted in smaller increments (commonly 4 or 8 hours) based on unit needs. You’ll chart in Epic and use tools including Rovers for medication scanning and Alaris pumps. Prior travel experience and Epic proficiency are required.

Primary location: Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Shift schedule varies between 7a–7p and 7p–7a, with every-other-weekend and holiday coverage.
