Job Description:

Join a fast-paced med/surg setting in Oklahoma City where your day is built around caring for patients before and after surgery. This travel nursing role is ideal for an acute care surgical-floor nurse who can confidently manage post-operative needs and pivot between standard med/surg workflows and stepdown-level support when required.

In this assignment, you’ll assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, monitor physiological data, observe changes, and intervene as needed. You’ll document responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments, assist with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, and administer medications, including IV infusions and blood products. You’ll also help coordinate care by making appropriate referrals, delegating tasks to support staff, and communicating with patients and families about procedures and care plans.

What makes this contract unique: the focus is strongly surgical—expect post-operative patients with new drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies, and NG/DH tubes, with some cases requiring stepdown/PCU experience.
